The Italian side, Salernitana are reportedly interested in signing Everton defender Micheal Keane according to Football Italia, with the Italian news outlet saying talks with Keane’s agent could take place at the start of next week.

Keane who has found himself bottom of the list when it comes to centre-back at Goodison Park has 2 years left on his reported £69,000 p/week (SalarySport) and has only played 22 minutes of Premier League football this season coming on as a sub away at Brentford at the start of the season.
Since then, the former Burnley man has only played games in the Carabao Cup and with no more cup competitions for Everton this season and the Toffees desperate for reinforcements they will welcome any bids for the former England international. Keane who has not been part of Frank Lampard’s last five squads has been the subject of interest from a host of Premier League clubs in the summer and in this January window including, Nottingham Forest and West Ham United.
The 30-year-old joined from Burnley in July 2017 for a reported fee that could rise to £30M (SkySports) has represented Everton 189 times chipping in with 11 goals and 7 assists, including one very important goal in THAT Crystal Palace game last season in which Everton survived relegation with a game to spare.
Interestingly enough, in 2017 now Everton manager Frank Lampard picked Michael Keane of Burnley for his ‘Team of the Season So Far’.

If Everton do cash in on Keane this window, any fee would be welcomed if it helped Kevin Thelwell strengthen the already weak squad. Especially in attack, and with links of Lucas Moura and Arnaut Danjuma potentially moving to Goodison Park, a striker is what is needed next.
