According to Eldesmarque, ‘powerful’ midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia is ‘on Everton’s agenda’ and has an €80m ‘termination clause’. The 27-year-old is also a target for Tottenham Hotspur this summer, so it remains to be seen where he’ll end up.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

Eldesmarque don’t provide a lot of new information, however, and appear to have taken their story from the Liverpool Echo and Sportsmole. The report does state that Valencia could agree a deal for Kondogbia is a good offer is made, but it doesn’t suggest what that figure could be.

Tottenham are believed to be preparing a €40m bid for the Central Africa international, so Everton may have to match that offer at the bare minimum if they are to bring Kondogbia to Goodison Park.

The Toffees already have Andre Gomes, Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Fabian Delph, Morgan Schneiderlin, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Tom Davies, but they appear to be on the hunt for a new addition to the engine room – John McGinn, Ozan Tufan, Davide Frattesi, Morgan Sanson and Matias Vecino have been linked.

Since joining Valencia from Inter Milan in 2018, Kondogbia has gone on to make 89 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and making five assists. As per WhoScored, the 27-year-old has made 17 Liga appearances and scored one goal.

He’s completed 82.4% of his 700 passes, won 31 aerial duels (47.7%), had 12 successful dribbles (66.66%), had 12 shots with 8.3% hitting the target, blocked 20 passes/crosses/shots, made 22 clearances, won 15 free-kicks, gave away 24 fouls and averaging a tackle (40) or interception (37) every 16 minutes.

Time will tell if Everton make a move.
