According to Sporx, Fenerbahce are interested in Oumar Niasse and want to bring the out-of-favour Everton striker to the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium this summer. Cenk Tosun has also been linked with a move to Turkey, but Niasse may be the first one out the door.

He’s out of contract in 2020 and may be granted a transfer by Everton as the club don’t want to lose him for nothing next year. Fener are hoping to land the 29-year-old for a cut-price fee as a result, but it all depends on how much interest there is in his signature.

It’s been a bad 12 months for the Senegalese international. Niasse struggled for form and playing time during the first-half of last season, racking up just 58 minutes of Premier League football at Everton before he sought a loan move away in January.

Niasse’s temporary switch to Cardiff didn’t go to plan, however, with the Bluebirds suffering relegation and the on-loan striker failing to score a single goal in 13 appearances. His last competitive goal came against West Ham on May 13, 2018 – more than 12 months ago.

It’s hard to see many clubs lining up to sign him this summer as a result, so Everton might have to take what they can get. The Toffees wanted £10m for Niasse in 2018, but they don’t stand a chance of getting that money now.

Fener might have success low-balling the Blues this summer, as Everton won’t want to pay a full year of wages to a striker that has no resale value.
