According to Calciomercato, Everton are ‘in the front row’ for Cengiz Under to ‘exchange for Moise Kean’. Carlo Ancelotti is said to be a ‘great admirer’ of the 22-year-old, but it remains to be seen what the outcome of this transfer saga will be.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

Under has made 85 appearances in all competitions since joining AS Roma from Basaksehir in 2017, scoring 17 goals and making 12 assists. He’s not been at his best this season, however, scoring only three goals in 20 games and failing to make an assist.

Vital Everton have questioned whether the 22-year-old would be a good signing based on his form in 2019/20, but the Toffees seem determined to strengthen their attack as Theo Walcott and Bernard have been linked with moves away in recent weeks.

In the 17 Serie A starts Under had last season, he scored and created a total of 10 goals, so Everton may be hoping that’s the player they’re getting their hands on. If not the Turkish international, Jesse Lingard, Wilfried Zaha and Jack Grealish could be targeted.

As for Kean, his future at Everton is uncertain following a disappointing debut season – one goal in 26 games. The 20-year-old continues to be linked with a return to Italy while the Toffees are on the hunt for another centre-forward, but it’s unknown if he’s open to joining Roma.
