According to the Football Insider, Everton are ‘plotting’ to make Jack Grealish their ‘headline summer signing’ but may have to beat out interest from Manchester United to bring him to Goodison Park. The 24-year-old has an uncertain future at Aston Villa and could be on the move in the coming months.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

Grealish has risen through the youth ranks to Villa’s first-team, making 177 appearances in all competitions, scoring 24 goals and making 31 assists. The former England u21 international has had a hand in 17 goals in 31 games across the board this season and is one of the most prolific forwards in the Premier League.

As per WhoScored, Grealish has amassed 2334 minutes of Premier League football, created 69 chances, completed 84.4% of his 1036 passes, whipped in 99 crosses with 18.2% accuracy, won 16 aerial duels (41%), made 58 successful dribbles (63.7%), had 55 shots with 30.9% hitting the target, blocked 36 passes/crosses/shots, won 127 free-kicks and averaged a tackle (26) or interception (13) every 59 minutes.

With Bernard being offered to AS Roma while Theo Walcott has been linked with a move away from Everton, it’s no surprise the Toffees are on the hunt for potential replacements. They’ve been linked with Cengiz Under, Wilfried Zaha, Jesse Lingard and Everton Soares, but Grealish may be the pick of the bunch.

He won’t come cheap, however. The 24-year-old has a £60m buyout clause and earns £40k-per-week/£2.08m-a-year at Villa.
