Report: Everton have 25 y/o ‘on the radar’, agent ‘in touch with clubs’ over a summer move

According to AS via Sport Witness, Everton have Sardar Azmoun ‘on the radar’ and may have to battle Leicester City and Sevilla to procure his signature.

AS say the 25-year-old’s future is up in the air as his agent Fali Ramadani has been ‘in touch with other clubs’ about a move, but Zenit Saint Petersburg won’t let him go for less than €25m (£22.02m).

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

There could be an exodus of strikers at Everton this summer. Oumar Niasse has been out of favour since 2018 and is out of contract in the coming months, Sandro Ramirez is also on the periphery and could return to Spain if reports are to be believed, Cenk Tosun has fallen down the pecking order and is available for sale and Moise Kean could return to Italy after a disappointing debut season.

Kean’s departure would leave Carlo Ancelotti with only Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison in attack, so Everton would need at least one new centre-forward coming in. The Toffees have been linked with Barcelona’s Martin Braithwaite, Napoli’s Hirving Lozano, Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard, Club Brugge’s Emmanuel Dennis and Torino’s Andrea Belotti, but it remains to be seen who they’ll sign.

Azmoun has made 45 appearances in all competitions since joining Zenit Saint Petersburg from Rubin Kazan in 2019, scoring 26 goals and making 10 assists. The 25-year-old has been in fantastic form this season, scoring 14 goals and making seven assists in 29 games, so he would improve the Everton frontline.
