Report: How much Everton may have to pay to sign Emmanuel Dennis

|

Everton were linked with a move for Emmanuel Dennis in December 2019 but had no success bringing him to Goodison Park in January. The 22-year-old was happy to stay at Club Brugge and Everton seemed content with their existing options in attack, so a deal never materialised.

Should the Toffees renew their interest, however, Santi Arouna of Foot Mercato, has revealed that Dennis has an asking price of £25.12m. The Nigerian international has contributed 11 goals in 32 games this season while delivering a number of standout performances in the Champions League.

It’s Dennis’ form in Europe that has led to so much interest overseas, but whether Everton need another centre-forward remains to be seen. The Merseysiders already have Dominic Calvert-Lewin (11 goals, 1 assist) and Richarlison (9 goals, 3 assists) firing on all cylinders in the Premier League while Moise Kean (1 goal, 2 assists) is an option too.

Everton will have stiff competition for Dennis’ signature too. Back in December, Crystal Palace, Real Betis, Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund were among the clubs interested, but Foot Mercato claim Brighton & Hove Albion, Southampton, Leicester City and Manchester United are now keen.
