With just over a week to go until the summer transfer window closes, Everton are working hard on incomings and outgoings. With two midfielders heavily linked with moves away from Goodison Park.

Last night, Everton travelled to Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup and Anthony Gordon was an unused sub in the Toffee’s 1-0 win. Everton have rejected a £40M and a £50M bid from Chelsea for Gordon, and according to multiple sources they are willing to offer an extra £10M in add-ons.

One player not named on the bench last night was the January deadline signing, Dele Alli. Last Wednesday we reported that Dele Alli was in talks with a move to Turkish side Beşiktaş and that it was up to Dele if he wanted to stay and fight for a place or move to Turkey.

After the game last night Frank Lampard said the following about Dele Alli

“He’s very advanced to moving to Besiktas. It’s not absolutely done yet but it’s very advanced.” – LiverpoolEcho

Financially, this move makes a lot of sense to Everton. When Dele was signed in January, it was on a free with a fee reaching £20M when he had made 20 appearances and a further £20M in add-ons depending on how well Dele and Everton get on.

Since his move, Dele has only played 13 times and was an unused sub on the weekend at home to Nottingham Forest and it seems that Dele’s time at Goodison Park is coming to an end before it has even begun. Dele, who has 2 years left on his contract is joining Beşiktaş on loan with an option to buy in the region of £8m.

With the loan being an option and not an obligation to buy, Lampard might feel that Dele could have a future at Everton next year, but as it stands he needs game time and needs to get that spark back.

Do you think this is a good move?
