Everton travel to Fleetwood on Tuesday night for the 2nd round EFL Cup tie with Kick-off at 19:45.

The two sides met in the 3rd round of this competition 2 seasons ago with Everton coming out of it 5-2 winners.

With both sides last season almost losing their retrospective league statuses both managers Frank Lampard and Scott Brown are looking for more stable seasons with the former Celtic midfielder has taken 6 points from five matches in his first managerial season whilst beating Championship side Wigan to set up a 2nd round tie against The Toffee’s.

Everton go into this game on the back of 2 losses and a draw in their opening 3 Premier League games so it is likely that Frank Lampard plays a stronger squad to gain momentum with a win at the League One side.

The Blues will travel without Calvert-Lewin (Knee), Yerry Mina (Ankle) and Abdoulaye Doucoure (Muscle) with the trio likely to be weeks away from returning to first-team action. [Liverpool Echo]

Lampard will almost certainly look to freshen the team up with Seamus Coleman set to captain the side after losing his place to Nathan Patterson in the early weeks of the Premier League campaign. Allan could partner new signing Amadou Onana in midfield, with Michael Keane, Dwight McNeil, Dele Alli and Ruben Vinagre hoping to all be handed crucial match fitness.

Fleetwood possible starting line-up: Lynch, Rooney, Nsiala, Andrew, Sarpong-Wiredu, Vela, Macadam, Batty, Hayes, Garner

Everton possible starting line-up: Begovic, Holgate, Coady, Keane, Coleman, Allan, Onana, Vinagre, McNeil, Alli, Rondon
