Yesterday, Fabrizio Romano reported that January signing Dele Alli could be on the move once again.

It is reported that the former Spurs man is on his way to Turkish side Beşiktaş with both a loan and permanent deal being considered and that it is up to the midfielder if he stays or goes.

Dele, who arrived at the club on deadline day in January has only played 13 times, starting online once in the final game of the season away at Arsenal after Everton had already secured safety vs Crystal Palace. Dele’s best game in a blue shirt did come in that game vs Palace when he replaced Andre Gomes at halftime and was instrumental in Everton’s comeback.

Dele’s work ethic has always been something that has been questioned by fans, the media and his coaches. This is something that during Tottenham’s All or Nothing documentary on Amazon, Jose Mourinho had a one-to-one with Dele and told him the following.

“I’m not expecting you to be man of the match every game, I’m not expecting you to score goals every game, I want just to tell you that I think you will regret. You should demand more from you. Not me. Not me. Nobody. You. I think you should demand more from you.”

Since that documentary, Dele’s career has taken a nose dive and it is a shame to see a once great player waste his talent. This is not to say that he doesn’t care, but for someone who was one of the first names on the Tottenham teamsheet only three years ago, you must ask. Why has it not worked at Everton so far?

It would be a shame to see such him take the easy route (going to Beşiktaş) rather than prove he is still good enough for the Premier Legaue and help get Everton back to the top half and European places.

With Everton already short on attackers, do you think cashing in on Dele would be a smart move by the club? Or would you like to keep him?

Dele Alli - Keep or sell?

Sell

If Everton do decide to cash in on Dele, it is belived that if Everton were to sell and receive any sort of fee – including loan fees, Tottenham would be due 25%, due to Dele Alli not reaching the 20 appearances threshold. – via Mark McAdam on SkySportsNews YouTube

Would this be a good move from the club?
