‘Let’s wait for June’ – The quote that made almost all Evertonians sigh with disbelief once again, just when we thought the season was over and we could move on. SLAP! Richarlison told [Globo Esporte] via SportWitness that he might be on the move.

It has been a couple of days now since Richarlison’s interview and we still do not know if he is trying to get a move or a new contract… It’s probably a move but we can dream. Can’t we?

When his announcement happened I went straight to twitter to see what others thought about his comments, many saying, the club has to back Richarlison and build around him or he’s off… however this is what Richarlison did say about any potential transfer.

“I’ve already made it clear to the board, I’ve already talked to Lampard too, with my agents and they know what I want. Let’s wait for June,” Richarlison told the local media (via Globo Esporte)

“Now I can’t talk, because when we talk about leaving a club I’m kind of like this, because of the history I have at Everton, the affection that the fans have for me, when we talk about leaving I’m a little speechless.”

If Richarlison does decided it is time for a new challenge, we must demand a fee that we can use to reinvest and with FFP breathing down our necks, we MUST get it right!

Richarlison to some might just be another player but to others he is their Duncan Ferguson! He always gives 110% when he represents Everton, he gets the club and most of all he gets the fans. He thrives off the fans and that showed in the final games of the season scoring or assisting eight in the final ten games he played.

Back in 2019 when Everton beat Lincoln in the Carabao Cup, Richarlison was given loads of stick from opposition fans for his ‘Messi’ celebration when scoring in the 88th minute to seal a 4-2 win for the Toffee’s.

The Brazilian forward removed his shirt in celebration showing his shirt to the travelling Evertonians later tweeting – “Play for the name on the front of the shirt and they’ll remember the name on the back

One thing is for sure, if Richarlison does decide to move on this summer all Evertonians will most definitely remember his name.

In my opinion, I would love nothing more than Richarlison to stay, and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin also rumored to be on the move we need to get them moved on ASAP or they don’t go at all.

We watched Spurs do this last season with Harry Kane, they named their price but nobody matched it so he stayed. So, Frank Lampard and Kevin Thelwell (our director of football) need to make a stand now. Tell clubs that are interested and both Richarlison and DCL this is our price, you match it and you can talk contracts.
