Everton academy forward Martin Sherif has today scored an incredible second-half hat-trick to seal an important point on the road for his side after being 3-0 down on the hour mark.

Leighton Baines’ Everton under-18s side have been on a very good run of form of late, not losing a game in their last 4 outings and winning two of them.

The blues sat firmly in mid-table in the U18 Premier League going into their away fixture against Derby County.

Their previous fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers last week was called off, however, due to the pitch being frozen over.

Although Everton’s last meeting with Derby ended in a 5-1 win for the blues at Finch Farm, it would be the home side that would be on the front foot for most of the game.

Derby’s Jayden Davidson would give his side the lead after half an hour and subsequently double and triple their lead midway through the second half.

The game seemed out of Eveton’s hands for much of the second half, but the toffees’ in-form striker Martin Sherif seemingly had other ideas.

The Dutchman would find the back of the net in the 71st, 88th and 94th minute to earn his side a valuable point away from home.

A trip to bottom-of-the-league Blackburn Rovers is next up for Leighton Baines’ side in their hunt to rise up the table thanks to their newfound form.
