Yesterday, The Telegraph reported exclusively that the takeover bid fronted by Peter Kenyon is progressing positively, and that the Kaminski family who are bankrolling the takeover are aiming to get it done by July 21st, which is when Everton are in their hometown of Minneapolis, USA.

In another article posted a few days ago, talks have been held in London with Bill Kenwright and Monaco with Farhad Moshiri. Since those talks, The Telegraph believe that an outline price in excess of £500M has been agreed in principle for the sale of Everton.

The consortium made up of the Kaminski family, Peter Kenyon and American businessman John Thornton, have promised that there will be funds made available for transfers that fall within FFP guidelines so that Frank Lampard can have some spending power in the summer window.

With Everton touring America next month, it is believed that any takeover would be beneficial, especially for Maciek Kaminski, who would hope to be in a position to introduce himself to Lampard, the staff and the players as the prospective new owner.

The Kaminski family, have made their money through investment in and development of retail and commercial properties and according to The Telegraph a source has told them,

“The figures quoted for the money it will cost to buy Everton, build the stadium and invest in the team are not a problem at all. Funding will not be an issue, in fact they are probably over-funded for what could be spent within the rules.”

According to The Telegraph, Everton are viewed as the flagship acquisition for what the Kaminski family plan to make a portfolio of sports clubs, media rights and entertainment businesses under the recently created Kam Sports LLC organisation.

The Kaminski family and the consortium are attracted to the club’s history, the passionate fanbase and the opportunity to try to restore some of its former glories, with The Telegraph’s source saying.

“They understand and respect the emotional power of the game and Everton’s values and history. They share with the club’s supporters a deep-rooted passion for the future success of the club, both on and off the pitch, and want to be good custodians of ‘the people’s club’.”

If the takeover goes through, Kenyon is understood to be in line to be given a role in the running of Everton, while Kaminski’s son Mikhail, who has a management role within Kam Sports, would be a registered director of Everton alongside his father.

Did I not hear on Talk Sport yesterday that the family behind the takeover have defaulted on previous loans? If true we should steer well clear of them
