Fabrizio Romano update on Everton transfers

It looks as if we are counting the days until Richarlison is announced as a Tottenham Hotspur player.

All month Richarlison has been linked with a move away from the club since he said “Let’s wait for June” with Chelsea, Barcelona and Tottenham having an apparent interest in the forward.

Only two days ago, we reported that Tottenham had been in talks with Richarlison’s agents about a potential move for the Brazilian international.

Since then, we have seen an apparent £20M plus Steven Bergwijn bid rejected by the club [Telegraph] and have also learnt that Bill Kenwright and Daniel Levy had held meetings in London, presumably about Richarlison.

The Telegraph also report,

Everton value Richarlison at over £50million, but Tottenham could bring the fee down by writing off add-ons they agreed as part of Dele Alli’s free transfer move in January. Everton are due to pay Spurs £10m once the former England international has made 20 appearances for the club and there are other performance-related add-ons.

It is also believed that during the conversations between Kenwright and Levy, Harry Winks was also brought up.

Fabrizio Romano, as you can see from his tweet above states, that Tottenham are progressing in talks with Everton and even though a fee has not been agreed yet, Harry Winks has been involved as part of the talks.

Along with Fabrizio, transfer insider Dean Jones believes that Harry Winks is likely to sign for Everton regardless of Richarlison’s future. Jones told [GIVEMESPORT]

“They really want to sign him (Harry Winks), they could get him on loan, which could be handy, rather than having to buy him, but ultimately, that deal will probably happen anyway.”

With the end of June only a day away, the next 35 hours will be huge in terms of Everton’s summer transfer activity, as June 30th is the final day that Everton can add incomings and outgoings to the clubs 18/19, 19/20 and 20/21 financial accounts, which were filed in March of this year.

That means, any sales in the next 35 hours will be taken into account and added to the losses over the last 3 seasons which is way over £300M.

What do you make of Fabrizio’s comments?

It is looking likely we will lose Richarlison, who would you like as a replacement?

Is Harry Winks the answer to our midfield problems?

  • Tony Singh says:

If we lose Richarlson then is Winks the ideal candidate to replace him? I must admit that I haven’t watched Winks play much, but we should be really looking at Work Horses in Midfield – like Gordon. Need players coni g in that will give their all for the shirt!!!

    • Liam Kelly says:

Two completely different players, Richarlison and Winks.
Bergwijn is being talked about as a potential in the deal and in my opinion wouldn’t be a bad option. Personally, I would like Emmanuel Dennis from Watford and Keane Lewis-Potter from Hull.
Either way, Lampard will need time.

  • Bob says:

Bergwijn no better than Rondon, Winks useless wanders around the pitch getting nowhere, Ali needs to go as soon as possible, why are we allowing Tottenham do dump all of their failures on us, poor business on Everton’s part, at the same time we are proposing to let Richarlison go for a low price, what is going on at Everton
