Everton may have already identified the ideal replacement for Anthony Gordon if he were to complete a move away from Goodison Park during the window, with Newcastle United reportedly interested.

Anthony Gordon has been heavily linked with a move away from Everton during the January window, with fans starting to turn on the 21-year-old after some poor recent performances.

Chelsea reportedly made a bid for Gordon during the summer of around £45-50 million. However, they were too far away from Everton’s £60 million valuation of the winger [via Sky Sports].

However, Newcastle United reportedly hold an interest in the 21-year-old heading into the later stages of the January window. If they were to offer a decent price for the winger, they could force Everton’s hand.

If Gordon were to leave, however, it seems as if Everton have already found their ideal replacement in Kamaldeen Sulemana.

Recent reports have suggested that Everton are exploring a deal to sign the Ghanaian winger, with Rennes struggling to offer him consistent game time this season.

Sulemana has scored 6 goals and provided 5 assists in Ligue 1 since joining Rennes. Although his stats are not overly impressive, he is still only 20 years old, meaning he still has a lot of room to improve.

If Everton were to sign Sulemana during the January window, he may be the perfect replacement for Anthony Gordon if he were to leave Goodison Park.
