Everton’s recent blip extended to three games without a win after a dramatic 2-2 draw with Watford on Monday evening, although they have lost just two of their last 10 Premier League matches.
The Toffees took the lead with 15 minutes on the clock through Richarlison but were pegged back in the second period when Seamus Coleman diverted the ball into his own net – which kickstarted a dramatic sequence of events.
Minutes later, Abdoulaye Doucoure fired the Hornets ahead before Gylfi Sigurdsson missed a decisive penalty to draw level – and Everton only managed to secure a point in the dying moments through Lucas Digne’s stunning free-kick.
Marco Silva gave a frank assessment of his side’s performance after the game, where he stated the Toffees need to be much better than they were in the second half ahead of difficult clashes with Manchester City and Tottenham that lie on the horizon.
That earned responses from a number of Everton fans and we have gathered some of their comments below.
why are we playing out from the back all of a sudden. them stupid goal kicks to the defender on the edge of the area. awful performance today. need better movement, we're too slow all of a sudden.

Silva has to sense danger & effect the game. It’s too easy to blame the players when you had opportunities at 1-0 to shake it up.

Too many players lost individual battles. Knocked off the ball watford looked a stronger and more physical

If Everton perform as poorly against Man City we could be annihilated. We were over run by Watford in the second half and our defence looked insecure. Our attacking rhythm seemed to disappear and we were lucky to gain a point.

Players not competing, not strong or quick enough, still a lot of trading required?January and next summer. Poor performance, still big changes needed.

Agree we bottled it – didn’t fancy a scrap @seamiecoleman23 as captain you need to have a word in that dressing room. Also please can everyone stop saying that @Alookman_ is better than @theowalcott – couldn’t be further from the truth. Up the Toffees!
