According to Adam Jones of Liverpool Echo, Oumar Niasse will be on his way out of Everton in January after struggling for playing time under Marco Silva. The 29-year-old is out of contract in 2020 and may not want to spend his final year on the periphery.

Niasse has made 39 appearances in all competitions since his 2016-move from Lokomotiv Moscow, scoring and creating 13 goals. The Senegalese international hasn’t found the back of the net since May 2018, however, which is why he’s found himself deemed as surplus to requirements.

Everton are enduring a disappointing campaign. The Blues are currently 18th in the Premier League with seven points from right games. They’ve scored just six goals this season and have lost their last four. Despite being impotent in attack, Niasse still hasn’t been given any minutes by Silva.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Moise Kean and Cenk Tosun are ahead of the 29-year-old in the pecking order but have only scored two goals between them. If the Everton attackers aren’t delivering on the pitch and Niasse still doesn’t get a shout, he’s definitely finished at Goodison Park.

Where he’ll go in January remains to be seen, however.
