According to Sky Sports, Everton are ‘interested’ in Everton Soares to form a ‘potent partnership’ with his Brazilian teammate Richarlison next season.

Carlo Ancelotti has Theo Walcott, Bernard and Alex Iwobi at his disposal, but Walcott could be sold this summer after underperforming while Bernard has been offered out to AS Roma.

Everton have Jesse Lingard, Cengiz Under, Jack Grealish and Wilfried Zaha on their list of potential replacements, but Soares is the one player they’re most desperate to sign.

Which club did Everton loan Cenk Tosun out to in January?

The 24-year-old joined Gremio from Fortaleza in 2013 and has gone on to make 179 appearances in all competitions, scoring 47 goals and making 17 assists. Soares impressed in 2019, having a hand in 22 goals in 42 games which has led to interest from numerous clubs.

Sky Sports say Napoli are also keen on the Brazilian international, so Ancelotti may have stiff competition to procure his signature. If Everton fail in their pursuit of Soares, Grealish is said to be their next best option – the 24-year-old has had a hand in 13 goals in 26 Premier League games this season.

Roma are looking to replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan and have been offered Bernard. The 27-year-old has struggled for consistency in 2020, scoring just one Premier League goal since October and making just one assist in the top-flight since December.

Walcott also has an uncertain future due to his poor form. The 31-year-old has scored just one goal and made two assists in 21 league games this season, so he’s surplus to requirements moving forward. Everton have a number of potential replacements on their radar, but it remains to be seen which player they bring in.
