Calvert-Lewin’s existing deal at Goodison Park runs until 2023 and he currently earns £20k-per-week/£1.04m-a-year, but Everton are keen to retain his services for as long as possible and are confident that he’ll put pen to paper later this month.

The England u21 international joined Everton from Sheffield United in 2016 and has gone on to make 124 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating 43 goals. He’s enjoying a rich vein of form this season, contributing 14 goals in 26 Premier League games while netting in five of Everton’s last six.

The Toffees paid only £1.5m for Calvert-Lewin and now he’s being valued at £20m by Transfermarkt. Everton wouldn’t accept such a low bid for the striker, however, as he’s been indispensable under Carlo Ancelotti. He’s missed only two league games this season too, racking up 1836 minutes of top-flight football from a possible 2340 (78.5%).

Calvert-Lewin’s form at club level could lead to him being called up to the England squad ahead of this summer’s Euro 2020 tournament, so Everton are desperate to tie him down as he could attract interest from a number clubs when the campaign comes to a close.
