Some Everton fans were professing their love for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the Manchester United head coach’s actions during our draw with the Old Trafford giants last weekend.

In a video posted on Twitter by The Toffee Blues, the Norwegian can be seen making his way to hug and congratulate Andre Gomes after he came off. It was the Portuguese midfielder’s first start since he suffered a horrific injury in the clash with Tottenham Hotspur, an issue which was supposed to keep him out for between six months to a year, according to Goal.

Gomes enjoyed a solid return to action in Sunday’s fixture as he completed the most passes, the second-most dribbles and had the third-highest pass accuracy of any player to start the game, as per WhoScored. Carlo Ancelotti was full of praise for the player after for his display against the Reds, labelling it as ‘good’.

He said, via quotes by the Liverpool Echo: “Andre Gomes did a good performance.”
