According to Football Insider, Everton are ready to pay big money to try and sign striker Che Adams from Birmingham City in the summer window.
The young forward has been spoken about for some time as one to watch and this year he has added real credence to that with some of his displays.
Indeed, he is one of the top scorers in the Championship and has pace and power – everything you want from a number nine and everything we are lacking at the moment.
Certainly, there is a suggestion with this that we are ready to go ambitious in the summer window as well and that’ll be a welcome notion.
If we can knock everyone else out of the way for Adams – and several are interested – it’s a statement from the board and Marco Silva that we are going to improve this team and get it on the up.
Certainly, such an attitude bodes well for other potential signings.
