Everton shouldn’t stand in Tottenham’s way if significant transfer claim is true

|

According to the Daily Star, Tottenham are considering making a bid of £30m for Everton man Andre Gomes.

The midfielder is on loan at Goodison Park from Barcelona, of course, and has shown at times that he can be a class act in the middle of the park.

However, he’s not always shown what he can do and that inconsistency has probably left us unsure as to whether we’d keep him.

Barca are going to want decent money for him, though, given what they spent on him when he joined them but I feel as though £30m is too much.

Of course, the market is inflated and we do have the money to pay such a fee but it would be advisable to try and knock that price down if we want him.

And, if we can’t do that, Spurs are more than welcome to pay that much, because he still has much to prove in my eyes.
