As revealed in the Liverpool Echo, both Marco Silva and Marcel Brands are fans of Watford player Richarlison.
The winger signed for the Hornets last summer and quickly impressed with a number of good displays – particularly under Marco at the start of the campaign.
A young player, he tailed off towards the end of the season but still has great quality and potential and is exactly the sort of player we should be looking for.
That said, then, I think we should be using the fact that Silva has worked with him and that Brands likes him to try and bring him in.
The Verdict
Of course, we’ve seen already this summer that Silva has played down rumours about getting the Brazilian in but I’d never be surprised if we do get him in to Goodison.
We need some more pace and width and I think Richarlison would be an upgrade on Yannick Bolasie.
