Marco Silva confirmed in Thursday’s pre-match press conference that Lucas Digne is “in condition to play” against West Ham United on Saturday. The 25-year-old has was an injury doubt going into the weekend fixture but has been passed fit by his manager after working hard in training.

When asked for an update on Lucas Digne, Phil Jagielka and Andre Gomes, Silva replied: “Yea, they are okay. Lucas during the week, we have to take care of him in some moments. We (had) a one-on-one session and he’s in condition to play.”

Digne has made 30 appearances in all competitions for Everton since joining the club from Barcelona last summer, scoring and creating seven goals. The French international has been first-choice at left-back under Silva, forcing Leighton Baines to be patient for an opportunity.

Everton are 11th in the Premier League with 40 points from 31 games this season. They travel to the London Stadium to face a West Ham side two places and two points better off than them in the table but could leapfrog their opponents with a win.

Silva’s men are coming off the back of two wins and a draw from their last four games while West Ham have won two and lost two of their previous four. Having Digne available is good news, as the left-back is highly creative from the back.

He’s made 55 chances, 11 successful dribbles, 40 passes-per-game with 75% accuracy and has whipped in 218 crosses with 30% accuracy.
