Official: Everton without one player for West Ham clash, trio should return

|

Everton will be without Yerry Mina (hamstring) for Saturday evening’s meeting with West Ham United, but the Toffees confirmed on their official website that Marco Silva could welcome back Lucas Digne, Phil Jagielka and Andre Gomes. Mina could be out of the majority of the season with a hamstring injury, but Digne, Jagielka and Gomes have recovered from knocks and could feature.

In Mina’s absence, Michael Keane and Kurt Zouma could partner one another at the heart of the defence. Digne should slot straight in at left-back and Gomes in midfield alongside Idrissa Gueye. Jagielka will provide backup on the bench. Everton come into the weekend meeting off the back of two wins and a draw from their last four games.

They’re currently 11th in the Premier League with 40 points from 31 games and could overtake West Ham in the table if they come out on top at the London Stadium. With Mina being the only notable absence, Silva will be at full strength. The Toffees are coming off the back of an impressive win over Chelsea and will hope to build on their momentum to finish the season strongly.
