More good news for Everton as another player returns to training ahead of Brighton clash

|

Everton have been given more good news ahead of Saturday’s meeting at Brighton & Hove Albion with another player returning to training. Fabian Delph has recently recovered from a hamstring injury and now Marco Silva will have Morgan Schneiderlin available for selection too.

The 29-year-old’s last appearance for Everton came against Burnley (October 5). After the international break, Schneiderlin missed Everton’s 2-0 win over West Ham United (October 19), but he’s likely to return in time to face the Seagulls.

Silva named Tom Davies alongside Andre Gomes in midfield against West Ham, but he will be spoilt for choice next weekend. Delph is likely to get the nod over Schneiderlin as the French international has struggled for consistency, but the latter is still good enough to make the matchday squad.

Beni Baningime was given a surprise call-up to the first-team due to a lack of midfielders, but he may be missing out next weekend if Delph & Schneiderlin are available. Everton will still be without Jean-Philippe Gbamin for a number of months, but they’ll have the majority of first-teamers back in action at a crucial time.
