Everton announced on their official website that the 24-year-old Ivorian midfielder has gone under the knife on a tendon injury in his right quadriceps muscle, keeping the former Bundesliga star out of action for an additional three months.
Gbamin was signed in the summer to seemingly replace the departing Idrissa Gueye, though his time on Merseyside has been an unfortunate one with the former Mainz midfielder missing the majority of the season due to injury, and supporters on social media were devastated by the news of enforcer’s latest and biggest setback.
Here’s what some Everton fans had to say about the latest injury setback to Gbamin on Twitter…
Back in February, up to speed by end of March and in time to save us from relegation ? Poor lad has lost a season.
