‘Is that it?’, ‘Disappointing’ – Loads of Everton fans react to potential Friday reveal

|

Loads of Everton supporters have been reacting on social media, after The Toffees Blue suggested the club are planning to reveal our 2019/20 Umbro third kit on Friday, August 23.

But like with the home, away and goalkeeper shirts, fans have been left underwhelmed by the English sportswear manufacturers latest design, with members of the Goodison Park faithful deeming their latest offering ‘disappointing’ and sharing hope that the supposedly leaked photo had shown the jersey in poor light.

The image shared by The Toffees Blue is not a recently surfaced photo, either – unfortunately for those left dissatisfied – as Brian Li, an Everton supporter based in Hong Kong, had shared the leak back in July and again at the start of August.

Their pictures showed a dark navy design, bordering on black, with purple and lilac accents and trim used for club and sponsor badging, as well as a small detailing on the inner-element of the neckline.

However, a later upload suggested the accents and trim may turn out to be a lighter shade of blue than used for the base of the kit, with a small ‘EFC’ graphic added on the back of the neck.

It is a much cleaner design than our home kit, which features a busy upper element, intended to reflect the iconic criss-cross steelwork of the upper-tier of the Bullens Road stand at Goodison Park.

Many Everton supporters are pessimistic by the potential inbound reveal, though…
