Everton revealed our new Umbro home kit for the 2019/20 Premier League season this morning, but lots of the Blues supporters reacting to the strip hate the design.

Umbro have opted to deviate from a traditional solid blue chest for this year’s jersey, with the English sportswear manufacturer introducing a twist inspired by the iconic criss-cross steelwork of the upper-tier of the Bullens Road stand at Goodison Park.

The cuffs of the sleeves, likewise, feature the same Archibald Leitch influenced design, as does the neckline, while an Everton crest adorns the back of the neck in an otherwise all-blue section.

Prices start at £35 for a baby home kit, £40 for an infant, and £45 for a kid’s short-sleeve jersey and £50 for a long-sleeve. Adult pricing, meanwhile, starts at £55, with a long-sleeve shirt setting fans back £60.

While some Toffees supporters’ initial impressions are not positive, academy graduate and six-time captain Tom Davies has shared: “I really like how Umbro have blended a retro feel into a modern kit, and I think the fans will like it, too.

“The Archibald Leitch design is synonymous with matchdays at Goodison.”

Fans wishing to purchase the strip can do so from July 18, with the club’s website already taking on pre-orders ahead of its release. However, there are a lot of fans who may be turned away by the design going by these reactions…
