‘LFC Lite’, ‘Class’ – Loads of Everton fans split over club’s latest reveal

|

Umbro failed to deliver in the eyes of many Everton supporters when the English sportswear manufacturer released images of our new home kit for the upcoming season.

Unfortunately, it seems the away kit has not been received overly well either, as loads of Blues supporters took to social media moments after it’s launch to share their views on the salmon pink design, and fans were visibly split in their thoughts.

The design is alleged to be inspired by two of the club’s earliest kits, with the colour officially named ‘Living Coral’, which was named as the Colour of the Year for 2019 by leading colour matchmaking company Pantone.

As for the design itself, the shirt features solid one-tone shoulders and sleeves that continue to take-on the Angry Birds sponsorship, while the chest features two-tone diagonal stripes leading from the left-hand shoulder to the bottom-right.

The neckline, meanwhile, is a solid blue collar to match with the blue badging and Sportpesa sponsorship. As for the shorts, these are a reverse of the shirt, with blue used as the base tone and ‘Living Coral’ for the badge outlines, while the socks are predominantly ‘Living Coral’ but feature a solid blue edge and Umbro logos.

Some of the fans reacting to the strip, which goes on sale on August 1, have declared the design to be far better than the home kit for 2019/20, but others have called Umbro’s latest reveal ‘terrible’ and ‘boring’.

Here’s how these Everton supporters reacted when our new away kit was released…
