Wins have been hard to come by for The Toffees in the Premier League season, as we all know a little too well. After 8 games, only 3 wins are on the board, and that’s just not good enough.
Still, things are improving, and the win over Leicester City at the weekend was much-needed for Marco Silva and his players. Tight victories like that are the sort of games that can help kickstart a season, and so let’s hope that it has the same impact on the squad at Goodison Park.
Fortunately, one Everton man has already been able to keep that winning streak going. Lucas Digne is currently away on international duty with his native France, but on Tuesday, he put up an image on his Instagram page showing what he’s been up to. The image, which can be seen below, shows Digne with a beaming smile celebrating a training ground victory, with players including Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud and Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe also featured.
Digne has enjoyed a decent start to life at Goodison Park, and he’s only going to get better when training with the World Cup winning France squad. If he can pick up the winning spirit that made them so deadly over the summer, that could have a big impact on the Everton squad more broadly.
Let’s hope he brings his winning luck back, too.
