Nikola Vlasic has had a good start to this season out on loan with Russian side CSKA Moscow.
The men from the Eastern European nation took a punt on him after it became clear that he wasn’t going to play for us much this year once again.
Sam Allardyce didn’t like him and Marco Silva perhaps couldn’t see it, so we let him go and he’s now performing very well indeed.
Of course, it is a lower level but he is still a young player that will get better and in the Champions League he looked at home against Real Madrid.
He’s still on our books – though it’s unclear what the relationship with him is like right now – and I just wonder whether Silva will look to use him in the future.
