Recent reports are suggesting that the Everton hierarchy have made a decision on what action to take in regard to Frank Lampard and that is to stand by him whilst he attempts to turn his side’s season around.

The toffees have had their fair share of ups and downs already this season, but due to some very poor results and performances recently, Frank Lampard’s job is widely regarded as being under threat.

In their last 3 fixtures, the blues have lost 2-0 to Leicester City at Goodison Park and to AFC Bournemouth twice in 4 days, losing 4-1 in the EFL Cup and then 3-0 in the Premier League a few days later.

The performances were labelled as humiliating by the media, with the likes of Simon Jordan calling out the Everton players for their turgid displays.

However, despite this recent backlash from fans and the media, The Football Insider understand that Everton have decided to stand by Frank Lampard and give him time to turn their season around. The blue’s hierarchy have discussed the Englishman’s position over the last 72 hours following their recent bruising defeat at Bournemouth.

Everton’s managerial position has recently been linked to the likes of Roberto Martinez and Sean Dyche, but given the board’s reported willingness to stick with Lampard. But given their history of sacking managers, this could all change quite quickly.

Should Everton sack Frank Lampard?
