Pressure builds on Everton manager Marco Silva after another extremely poor showing as we welcomed Wolverhampton Wanderers to Goodison Park for last weekend’s Premier League clash.

Having fallen behind in the seventh minute of the game as the visitors opened the scoring from the penalty spot, Andre Gomes did have us back on level terms just ahead of the half-hour mark but with clear struggles in the game once again, Wolves scored twice more to take the comfortable win.

Statistics website Whoscored weren’t very favourable in their match ratings but Gomes’ individual performance won him praise as his efforts received 7.91.

Completing the top five best performers under their system were Jonjoe Kenny (6.95), Kurt Zouma (6.70), Gylfi Sigurdsson (6.64) and Richarlison and Cenk Tosun were tied on 6.47.

The game gives more questions than answers though and there were few positives for fans to take as we slipped to defeat yet again and we have now lost five games on the spin against sides above us.
