3 Shots, 45 Touches & 4 Tackles Sees Everton Man Take MotM After Surprise Chelsea Win

|

Sunday’s Premier League clash at Goodison Park as Everton hosted Chelsea, didn’t really go to plan…Everton won.

Most probably expected another heavyish defeat given Everton’s woefully inconsistent form over the last few months and first half is probably best forgotten about. Second half, not so much. Richarlison gave us the lead four minutes after the restart and Gylfi Sigurdsson scored the follow up to a missed penalty in the 72nd minute to secure a much needed 2-0 victory.

With noticeable improvement in the final 45 minutes, statistics website Whoscored had a pleasing set of player ratings this week.

Richarlison took Man of the Match with a rating of 7.83 for his efforts on the day and our top five best performers for them were completed by goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (7.59), fellow goalscorer Sigurdsson (7.58), Seamus Coleman (7.54) and Michael Keane (7.38).

Special mentions for Lucas Digne, Yerry Mina, Idrissa Gueye and Dominic Calvert-Lewin who also received seven-plus scores.

By comparison, Whoscored had goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga as their Man of the Match but they only had four players in total receive seven-plus scores.

Take the confidence shot and build on it now.
