“You can’t allow…” – Former Chelsea striker urges Everton to sack Frank Lampard

|

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has urged Everton to sack manager Frank Lampard after his team’s horrific display in their 2-0 loss to West Ham last night.

Everton were doomed for a relegation battle after their 2-1 loss at Goodison Park to bottom-of-the-league Southampton last week, with the pressure on Frank Lampard to turn his side’s form around seemingly ramped up to maximum.

Going into their fixture against West Ham, it was seen as a must-win game for Frank Lampard to be able to maintain his job.

Although there was such importance put onto the fixture, Everton displayed one of their worst performances of the season at the Olympic Stadium, with West Ham beating the blues comfortably, moving them out of the relegation zone.

If it wasn’t for a late winner for Aston Villa over Southampton, Everton would now sit at the bottom of the Premier League after 20 games.

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino, talking on TalkSPORT, has urged Everton to sack Frank Lampard:

“Make the change”

“Everton are a huge football club. The fear of going down, for the club, is more important.”

“You can’t allow this malaise to continue. You have to make a big call.”

“People have lost their jobs in way worse scenarios than this”

Everton now have a two-week period until their next fixture, where they take on top-of-the-league Arsenal at Goodison Park before heading to Anfield for the Merseyside Derby.

Surely if there was any time to sack Frank Lampard, now would be the time.
