Everton interested in signing Champions League-winning Winger

Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech is reportedly sparking interest from Everton, along with other clubs, on an initial loan move in January, according to recent reports

Everton have, in recent weeks, been pulled firmly into a relegation battle thanks to recent losses to relegation rivals West Ham, Wolves and Southampton.

The blues are in obvious need of attacking reinforcements. Arnaut Danjuma is reportedly close to completing a move to Goodison Park. However, signing just one player is unlikely to solve all of their problems.

According to Sami Mokbel, Chief Football Reporter for the Daily Mail, Everton are interested in signing Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech on an initial loan deal during the January window.

Ziyech earned a move to Chelsea after some excellent performances for Ajax in the Netherlands, playing a vital role in their fantastic Champions League run in 2018/19, missing out on a Champions League final thanks to a hat-trick from Tottenham’s Lucas Moura on the night.

Since joining Chelsea, the 29-year-old has struggled for any consistency in his performances, scoring just 14 goals in just under 100 appearances for the blues.

He was, however, a star performer at the Qatar World Cup last month, helping Morocco to a 4th place finish in the competition, the highest finish of an African team in World Cup history.

Ziyech played 7 games in the competition,  providing 2 goal involvements in that time.
