According to 90min, Dutch titans Ajax and PSV are both interested in the 19-year-old defender, with the report stating that Celtic and Rangers are also chasing Gibson, who joined Everton from Newcastle in 2017, though as stats from Transfermarkt show, the teenager is yet to play a single first-team minute for the Toffees first-team.
With Gibson’s contract expiring next summer at Everton, there is a chance that the youngster could yet again be on the move with a number of high-profile teams reportedly interested in the centre-back, and a few Everton supporters on social media were hoping that the Merseyside club could hang on to the defender.
Here’s what some Everton fans had to say about Gibson catching the eye of two of the Netherlands biggest clubs…
Send him on loan to one of them. Would be criminal if we sold him.
