Cenk Tosun has always remained the great ‘what if?’ at Everton in recent seasons, and a recent post from Toffee TV has re-opened the debate on whether or not the Turkish international should be back in the first-team.

The popular Everton-based Twitter account reposted a goal during a game against Crystal Palace last season, where Tosun scored the goal of the evening to secure the three points for the Toffees in what was to be an important win for the Merseyside club, and the video sparked debate amongst fans whether or not the striker should be back amongst the first-team.
As stats from Transfermarkt show, Tosun has managed just under an hour of football this season in the Everton first-team, registering one assist, and this lack of game time has resulted in rumours of Tosun heading out the exit door in January following a summer where the attacker was also linked with a move away from Goodison Park as reported by Sky Sports News.
Here’s what some Everton fans had to say about Tosun’s goal against Crystal Palace, with a few crying out for the Turkish international to return to the first-team…

Some supporters, though, believe Tosun should not be near the Everton squad…

I remember after this match I felt he’d kick on… good player and works hard but just doesn’t suit the style

Tosun is currently fourth-choice striker at Everton, behind the likes of Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Moise Kean in the squad.
