Everton have enjoyed fine form under the guidance of Marco Silva and are looking to maintain their excellent start to the season when they clash with Watford on Monday evening.

The Toffees were left frustrated by a 1-1 draw with struggling Newcastle United last week, a result which followed a last-gasp defeat to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby last weekend but have lost just two of their last nine in the Premier League.

A victory tonight against the Hornets would see Silva’s side leapfrog Manchester United to reclaim the seventh spot in the standings, while also increasing the buffer that Everton hold over the bottom half of the table – as just three points currently separate Everton from 13th.

Fans have been discussing how their side should line-up this evening and one supporter suggested a major shift in shape, moving to a three-man defence to counteract Watford’s likely 4-4-2 formation – but not everybody is convinced.
