Everton were unable to extend their winning streak at Goodison Park on Wednesday evening after being held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle United.
Salomon Rondon gave the visiting side the lead but Richarlison equalised before the break, although the Toffees were unable to build upon it in the second half and were left with a feeling that two points were dropped.
One positive from the result though was another fine performance from Barcelona loanee Andre Gomes, who endured a tough time with the Catalan giants but has taken no time at all to settle into life in the Premier League with Marco Silva’s side.
The Portugal international has quickly established himself as a fan favourite on the blue half of Merseyside and supporters are desperate to see him drafted into the club on a permanent basis, taking every opportunity they can to urge him to put pen to paper.
