According to German outlet Kicker, via the Liverpool Echo, Red Bull Leipzig have now given up on trying to take Ademola Lookman away from Goodison Park.

The Blues saw the winger linked away to the German side a lot over the summer window after he spent half of last season out there.

He did a good job with them, too, hence the reason they wanted him but we held firm and rebuffed any offers they made.

He’s stayed at the club, then, and it seems as though Leipzig will now look elsewhere to try and bring in a new winger.

Lookman made a cameo appearance over the weekend for the Blues in the draw with Huddersfield and hopefully we’ll see him progress further as we get going after the international break.

In the meantime, we’ll just have to wait and see whether or not he can do that in the coming weeks.

  • Know it’s easy to be wise afder they event, but, givern his lack luster showing on sat, think we should have taken the money, yes he has talent, but his attitude stinks, and this is one rotten apple we should have removed from the barral.
