According to Tony Banks of the Daily Express, Everton are interested in Jeremie Boga and could battle Barcelona, Inter Milan, Napoli, Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion for his signature. The 23-year-old has impressed for Sassuolo this season and could be on the move when the campaign comes to a close.
Boga joined Sassuolo from Chelsea in 2018 and has gone on to make 50 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating 15 goals. In 2019/20, he’s contributed 11 goals in 22 Serie A games from the left-wing, but it remains to be seen if Everton can beat out so many clubs to lure him to Goodison Park.
The Express say he’ll cost around £15m while Gazetta dello Sport estimate that Boga’s wages are around £0.4m-a-year. He wouldn’t break the bank, but the Toffees don’t have room for in the squad for another left-sided forward.
Carlo Ancelotti already has Bernard, Alex Iwobi and Richarlison who can play in Boga’s preferred role, so it would make more sense for Everton to sign a player to operate on the right-wing as a long-term replacement for Theo Walcott.
