According to Sabah (h/t Sport Witness), Besiktas have made a loan offer for Yannick Bolasie. Manager Abdullah Avci reportedly wants the Everton forward is attack for 2019/20 but is only willing to sign him on a temporary basis.

It’s not the ideal situation for Everton, as Marcel Brands wants to trim the wage bill by offloading the deadwood permanently. Sabah don’t say whether the loan deal would include a buying option, however.

Bolasie’s future has been uncertain for a while. The 30-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements over the last months after falling down the pecking order under Marco Silva.

His loan to Aston Villa didn’t go too well (21 appearances, seven goals/assists) but things picked up at RSC Anderlecht (17 appearances, nine goals/assists). Bolasie didn’t do enough to earn a reprieve under Silva, however, and was made available for sale.

Cenk Tosun is another player who has been linked to Besiktas, but nothing has come of the rumours. Whether Everton accept their proposal for Bolasie remains to be seen too. The Blues are likely to want a permanent deal secured, but if nothing concrete comes in before late-August, they may be forced to loan him out.
