Everton fans have been losing it on social media after Watford marked the one year anniversary of sacking Marco Silva by firing a sly dig at the Toffees.
The Hornets axed the Portuguese manager when results started to dip at Vicarage Road, believing Everton’s reported chase of the 41-year-old had turned his head and the team was taking the brunt of the scenario.
Silva eventually took the Goodison Park job in the summer, replacing Sam Allardyce, but results have not yet been perfect with his new side.
Enough to keep Watford entertained, to say the least, who sit in seventh place after 23 games and three points ahead of Everton.
This aged well…????♂️ https://t.co/UFEoQRUqbR

To mark the one year anniversary of cutting their ties with Silva, the Hornets re-tweeted a post shared by Match of the Day’s Gary Lineker, who had previously shared his thoughts that Watford would regret sacking the Portuguese manager as they would only go on to sign someone with less talent.
Needless to say, Everton fans did not take Watford’s indirect shot lightly…
Shocker the club actually tweeted this ????♂️. 38 games in a season , let’s see at end.
