Gary Naysmith has completed a £1m move to Sheffield United as part of the deal that recently took Phil Jagielka to Everton.
He has signed a three-year deal for the Championship club, bringing to an end his seven year association with Everton, and at only £1m represents a solid buy for the recently relgeated Blades.
Naysmith was signed by Walter Smith from Hearts for £1.75m in October 2000. He made 155 appearances for the Toffees, scoring seven goals. Although never blessed with great skill, no true blue can fault his effort for the side.
I would like to wish Gary luck with his new challenge and anticipate he will be a huge hit with Blades fans.
