Late PSG Twist In Chase For Everton Midfielder As The Minutes Tick Down

|

Following on from all the speculation linking Paris Saint-Germain with a move for Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye, it’s now being claimed that they have come back in with an improved bumper offer for the 29-year-old.

Everton’s line has held firm at ‘not for sale’ and that comes as no surprise given how key the Senegalese international player has been for us under manager Marco Silva as the lynchpin in the middle of the park with his ability to break up play.

Following his arrival from Aston Villa back in August 2016, he’s only eight appearance off the starting milestone of 100 showings in our shirt and 22 of those appearances have come this year.

Whether or not the claim from Sky Sports of an increased offer of £26.1million is enough to change some minds in the clubs’ offices remains to be seen, but for those fans who are now going to judge January on whether he remains with us or not, it’s going to be a tricky last hour.

The story is developing as well…
