The former Tranmere midfielder has reportedly been tracked by Everton since before his move to current employers West Brom.

Indeed, Everton were reported to have turned down the opportunity to sign the Wrexham born midfielder but were put off by the price quoted by Tranmere Rovers.

After missing out on a return to the Premiership, Koumas told Sky Sports; ‘Any player will say they should be in the Premiership, and I am no different.

I feel I can play in the Premier League, no problem.’

When probed regarding interest from David Moyes, Koumas went on to say; ‘I’m a local lad from Liverpool, I suppose a move back to the city would be a dream move for me, but I am just concentrating on the Czech match now and what happens in the summer will happen.’

‘I hope I am in the Premiership next season, but if it doesn’t happen I will just keep playing to the best of my ability with West Brom.’

The Welshman looks odds on to leave the Hawthorns after manager Tony Mowbray was quoted as saying he will sell players who wish to leave.

Koumas is reportedly valued at around four million. Whether this price will put off Everton oncemore remains to be seen.

Meanwhile Aston Villa and Celtic are monitoring developments also.
