After a slow start to the season, things are really starting to pick up at Goodison Park. Marco Silva’s men are in a good run of form, and that was in effect once again over the weekend.
They left it late, but we let out a sigh of relief when Dominic Calvert-Lewin and then Cenk Tosun sealed the three points for the Toffees to put us into the top half of the table.
All told, it was a solid performance from the team, and one man that particularly impressed was Andre Gomes. Making his full debut for the Blues, he did well in the middle of the park – and the Goodison Park faithful let him know how impressed they were.
It seems as though the Portuguese enjoyed his day just as much we did, too, at least owing to his latest post on social media. Gomes recently took to Twitter to reflect on the game, and it’s fair to say that he enjoyed the ‘special’ Goodison Park atmosphere.

If he keeps performing like he did on Sunday, there is no doubting that Gomes will get even more support from Everton fans.
He was the creative master in the midfield, and he really controlled the tempo of the game. If that’s a sign of things to come, we’re very excited indeed.
