The upcoming summer transfer window could be a period of upheaval on Merseyside as Marcel Brands gets to work clearing the deadwood from Everton and signing players that will take the club to the next level.
In order to reach the next level, our Director of Football will have to sign talented individuals who could offer an immediate improvement on the roster currently on offer to Marco Silva, otherwise he would be repeating the failings of the men who went before him.
We do not need another window with masses joining the dressing room at the expense of luring a few gifted men to the club, but one position that has to be considered is at right-back.
As a result of the problems Seamus Coleman and Jonjoe Kenny present, the Liverpool Echo have suggested the Blues look north of the border to Rangers for a possible answer and bring their highly acclaimed James Tavernier to the club.
The Echo suggest his strengths in crossing, creativity and dribbling would make him a worthy successor to Coleman, though add that at 27 he may not be a sustainable purchase.
Other names include Sassuolo’s Pol Lirola, 21, who has chalked 22 Serie A appearances since leaving Juventus in the summer, and Valentino Lazaro, 22, of Hertha Berlin.
The names suggested did not get the fanbase buzzing going by these replies…

Holgate or Kenny don’t need to shell out for a RB. Save our money for a STRIKER just saying.
